Lawrence Ervin McCullough Dr. Lawrence Ervin McCullough is Press Direcctor for The Hall Institute of Public Policy-New Jersey.  Mr. McCullough has spent the last six years in the Mayor’s Office of Woodbridge Township, NJ working as Public Information Officer/Mayoral Press Aide (2004-06) and Grants Officer/Special Projects Coordinator (2007-present).

He has also served as Administrative Director, Humanities Theatre Group at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis; Assistant Director, Indiana University School of Music at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis; Senior Entertainment Publicist/Event Coordinator, Englander & Keesee, Inc.; Executive Director, Music Umbrella of Austin; President/Owner, Silver Spear Publications; Contract Writer/Editor for 100+ magazines, newspapers, book and audiobook publishers, business clients, civic organizations throughout the U.S. with more than 1,100 publications.

As “L.E. McCullough” he enjoys a career as an author-musician who has written/edited 47 books of fiction, non-fiction and plays, including 176 published stage and script works for young people. Last year Dr. McCullough’s Plays of America was named to the Glencoe/McGraw-Hill Recommended Reading List alongside classics like To Kill a Mocking Bird, Great Expectations, Lord of the Flies and Midsummer Night’s Dream.

He holds a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of Pittsburgh and has performed on soundtracks for Ken Burns PBS series The West, Lewis and Clark, The Story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony and recorded with numerous Irish, French, Cajun, Latin, blues, jazz, bluegrass and rock ensembles on albums for Angel/EMI, Sony Classical, RCA, Warner Brothers, Rounder and Bluezette.

He lives in Woodbridge, New Jersey with his wife, the actress and Interfaith minister Lisa Bansavage.
