March 31, 2011 - Our conferance on the future of gaming in The Garden State was a great success. The Hall Institute in cooperation with Rutgers University brought together a collecton of experts within New Jersey's casino and horseracing industries and those of surrounding states. Ideas were exchanged, as was what works elsewhere, and how those solutions may or may not fit New Jersey. If you missed it, watch this space for video of the event soon.
Experts from the casino and horseracing industries discussed the status of gaming in New Jersey, the bills recently signed into law by Governor Christie, and options for the future, including sports betting and slot machines at the Meadowlands Racetrack. Speakers included:
